It's been two years since Escobar has been back in Club Championship, after placing 4th in the 2021 Championship. That said, Escobar shot his best round (79 gross) of the year in last month's 1st round playoffs so appears to be peeking at just the right time. Could this be his year?

What a year it's been for Kevin Matta! Matta posted three top 3 finishes on the season, including a win at Valley Oaks in June. Matta also was the Season Point Winner claiming the most consistent golfer on the 2024 season. Matta is certainly right where he wants to be to make a run at the Mafia Cup this year.

Since then, Kelly has performed solidly finishing the year in the top 10 Mafia Cup points. Kelley, at -2 entering the Club Championship, could be just the second rookie to hoist the Cup!

Chad Castro has been one of the most consistent performers in Foot Wedge since his rookie start in 2022. That year, Castro won the cup, becoming the first rookie to take it all. In that same year, Castro took home the Master's Tournament as well. Last year, Castro placed top 3 on four occasions. Castro is not afraid of the big stage and is surely ready to add another Mafia Cup to his resume.

Another successful rookie in the 2024 season, Joey Chica has turned a lot of heads on tour this season. He certainly announced himself at the 2024 Master's while playing alongside the final group on day 2 and absolutely holding his own. Chica has given himself a great shot at being only the 2nd rookie to ever win the Mafia Cup.

Surprisingly, Tim Doyle's best tournament finish on the year was 12th. But, here he stands in the middle of the pack headed into the 2024 Club Championship. Doyle has consistently improved month after month and it has certainly paid off. Tim Doyle may be one of the sleeper's to keep an eye on in this year's Club Championship. We will see in October!

The 2024 Master's Champion, Cain Castro! Castro, younger brother of Chad Castro, has game and has displayed it all year long. Although not his best opening round in Tulare, everyone knows he can go low and be back in contention in no time. Look out for Cain Castro to shoot a low front nine and place himself in the conversation down the stretch at Ridge Creek!

What a year Jason Cain had in 2023. A Multi-event winner and one of the most consistent players on the season. Unfortunately, 2024 was not the same. In fact, Jason found himself outside the top 24 after the season but due to withdraws, was offered a spot int he playoffs. Now, he's in the hunt for the Mafia Cup in October. Best of luck this year, Jason!

The 2023 Master's Champion, Brice Souza, has found his way to yet another Club Championship. Perhaps, not his best year in 24' with no official top 3's recorded, but yet finishes the year in 7th position on the Mafia Cup Points list. What do you say about a guy in his rookie season wins the first tournament of the year? Well, you say that's Jonah Reardon. Jonah made his presence felt Month 1 on tour with his win at one of the toughest tracks on the season, Riverbend. Reardon barely qualified for the 24' playoffs but made the best of his opportunity and is now in the hunt for the Mafia Cup!

Club VP, Cole Schieferle, sneaked into this year's Club Championship by .8 points. That said, Cole has had a pretty solid year with back to back top 3 finishes in month 4 and 5 and finishing top 5 in the Mafia Cup points. Cole will have a lot of work ahead of him come October but you can bet Schieferle will be locked in!
